Reflection: I choose this activity because it's important for a child to learn numbers 1-10. I was a student that struggled and continues to struggle in math. Therefore to me, as an educator is extremely important for my students to feel comfortable at all times. There will be explicit instruction/teacher modeling that leads to student teaching, and independent and group work. Students will be able to feel comfortable because they are learning with different sort of activities which involves them and its fun.

I really like the different materials that are involved in this lesson. The use of Dr. Seuss and the chart will help students see the numbers they are learning and better organize them. I really like the use of BINGO too. This gives students more opportunities to see the numbers and interact with them.
ReplyDeleteAna,
ReplyDeleteAdd Dr. Seuss and you have a winner, especially when you add this book and teach them how to add plus one. You can even do it in the fall and incorporate an apple lesson for yummy apples to eat too. Sounds like a win win to me.
